Bedford wins first D-I game
The Bedford High School boys hockey team started its time in Division I off with a 4-1 win over Nashua North on Wednesday at St. Anselm’s Sullivan Arena.
The Bulldogs (1-0) scored three shorthanded goals – one in each period – and limited the Titans (0-1) chances throughout the game to win their 29th straight game and extend their unbeaten streak to 30 games.
Bedford got a goal and an assist from Brett Veilleux while Danato Tempesta and Nathaniel John each had two assists. Matthew Musgrave, Griffin Gagne and Jacob Rioux also had goals for Bedford and Alec Lindberg was solid in net.
Ryan Marvin scored a power play goal late in the third period for North and Sean Chipman played well in goal.
