BASKETBALL

Bedford Travel 6th Grade Boys Travel Update

The Bedford sixth-grade boys travel basketball team went 4-0 and won the 30th annual Bow Athletic Club basketball tournament.

The team took advantage of strong defensive play throughout the tournament and beat a tough Winnisquam team in the championship game. Bedford team members are Cam Roberts, Matthew Ferrucci, Matthew Boutout, Matthew Flanagan, Daniel Kulesza, Conor Mullin, Sonny Elie, Alex Zwickau, Max Manniello and JT DeLacey.

The team now prepares for the conference tournament, which begins this weekend. Bedford will be entering the tournament as the No. 2 seed in Division I.

Cannons taking
registrations

Registration is now open for the Bedford Cannons 2015 season. All town, rec and travel players for boys and girls ages 7-14 are welcome. Cannons indoor skill sessions are underway on Tuesday evenings. BYLA is also returning its Little Laxer program for kids 4-6 years old. Babe Ruth registration

Bedford Babe Ruth League registration is now open at www.bedfordbaberuth.com. There are youth baseball leagues for the following age groups: Babe Ruth League 13-15; Pony League 16-18 Palomino Division; Pony League 19-22 Thorobred Division. The Bedford Jr. Bulldogs Youth Pop Warner Football and Cheer Program will hold a registration and kickoff event from 6-8 p.m. on March 9 in the Ross A. Lurgio Middle School cafeteria.

ASC holding spring soccer registration

Amherst Soccer Club is now accepting registrations for players from any town for the Tots (ages 3-5) and EDP (ages 6-10) spring soccer programs. There are also limited openings on our Hampshire FC/Hampshire United SC Boys and Girls U10-U19 spring soccer teams. Souhegan in need of coaches
