Kelly Interior Painting 10

Kelly Interior Painting and Bedford Athletic Club fought hard, but found themselves deadlocked as the final horn sounded. Izzy Spain led all scorers with five points while Delaney Goterch added four for Kelly. Sydney Buffet hustled on both ends of the floor and came up with several key steals to keep the scored tied. Anna Caldwell and Emma Nadeau scored four points each for BAC. Hannah Dambach, Savannah Davis and Bella Raduazzo provided strong defense while Anna Putney and Lena Raduazzo directed the BAC’s offensive attack.

Small Green Computer 24,

Sports Authority 0

Small Green Computer earned the win with only five girls present. Elise Piotrowski took the lead with some early baskets while Julia Asadourian’s and Elizabeth Chopra’s defensive hustling created opportunities to steal the ball. Thea Sarajlic and Kendal Joyce scored in the second half to seal the win. For the Sports Authority Team, Maya Rao played her first game ever, but quickly learned her position and made some excellent defensive plays.

Bedford Natural Medicine 20, Cohen Investment 7

Bedford Natural Medicine started off the season with a win thanks to a strong offense. Liz Hughes demonstrated outstanding confidence on the court and set the tone of the game by scoring four points in the first half. Regan O’Brien hit her stride in the second half with four points. Cohen Investments benefitted from the aggressive defensive play of Skylar Cohen and Alayna Zebra. Claire Kraemer led the team with four points and Erin McCarthy added three.

Grade 7-8 girls

Nail Indulgence 10, BAP Personal Training 6

Nail Indulgence opened the season with a 10-6 win over BAP Personal Training in a tough defensive battle. Paige Adams and Sarama Vu led Nail Indulgence offensively with four and six points, respectively. BAP was led by Kathrine Sasso, who made many steals throughout the game.

Bedford Friends of Rec. 23,

Snapdragons, 16

Bedford Friends of Recreation beat Snapdragons 23-16 in an exciting game to kick off the season. Lauren Zebra had an outstanding defensive game guarding Snapdragon’s best players. Megan Eldred hawked the passing lanes, forcing turnovers which led to easy fast break points. The Snapdragons were led by Meghan Lang, Olivai Stavropulus and Shreya Sharma.
