BLL Opening Day Ceremony

Bedford Little League Baseball will be holding an Opening Day Ceremony today.

The celebration will be held at the Little League Complex on Nashua Road and includes the Grand Reopening of the renovated Snack Shack.

The BLL will be hosting and recognizing the many local businesses and community members who helped with repairs to the Snack Shack and installation of the new scoreboards.

Included is a special thank you presentation to CMC for becoming a major sponsor for the uniforms.

The event will be capped off by a Home Run Derby competition for players from the Majors Division; one player from each of the seven teams will be selected to represent their team in the competition. We encourage all players and families to attend.

BYLA girls give good effort

Coming off vacation week the BYLA Girls U13B went play for play with Hampstead but eventually fell to the more experienced team 11-9.

The defense led by Elsie Munsterteiger in goal and Sabrina Tipping and Bella Raduazzo on close defense kept Hampstead at bay early until the Bedford offense got clicking.

Scoring was led by Lauren Thomas with four goals, Eli Enners with three goals and Regan O’Brien with one goal and three assists. Kira Abdelsayed added a goal and Annabel Pothuru had an assist. Emma Hauser and Savannah Davis were aggressive on the ride and once again Kendal Joyce provided key ground ball work when needed.
