Sept. 25: Milford 3, HB 2

TEAM RECORDS: Mil 3-3, HB 2-4. SCORING: M – Cora Rogers two goals; Nicole McMarrow one goal and one assist; Olivia Mabbett one assist; and Kelsey Poulter one assist. HB – Mollie Gillis two goals. GOALIE SAVES: Kaitlyn Nelson made three saves in goal for the Spartans, while Cassie Reijgers played solid in goal for Cavaliers.

Sept. 30: Milford 3, HB 2

TEAM RECORDS: M 4–5, HB 2–7. SCORING: M – Olivia Nabbett, Julia Mazzeo, and Kelsey Poulter, one goal eachl; Niccole McMorrow, two assists; Meghan Marshall, one assist. HB – Molly Gillis, two goals. GOALIE SAVES: M – Kaitlyn Nelson, six. HB Cassandra Reijgers one, Ashley Skey five. OTHER HIGHLIGHTS: Allison Betelak played well defensively for Milford, which scored with two minutes left to snap a 2–2 tie.

BOYS SOCCER

Sept. 25: Milford 2,

TEAM RECORDS: Mil 0-7-1, Ply 2-4-1. SCORING: Ryan Clark (unassisted) and Qyn Young (from Jimmy Spalding). GOALIE SAVES: Chris Pervere played an outstanding game in goal for Milford, recording eight saves – including three in overtime and one spectacular game-saving stop with 20 second left to go in regulation. OTHER HIGHLIGHTS: Jimmy Spalding, Major Wheelock and Gabe Chevalier had outstanding games defensively for Milford, while Aaron Ladeau came close to scoring multiple times for Milford.

GIRLS SOCCER

Oct. 1: Alvirne 4, Milford 1

TEAM RECORDS: AL 8-0-1, MI 2-7. SCORING: Danielle Ross scored twice for Alvirne, once on a penalty kick. She also added an assist on a Tori LaRoche goal. Sarah McAdam netted Alvirne’s fourth score. GOALIE SAVES: A- Sami Giannelli, 19. OTHER HIGHLIGHTS: Heather Barkley had a great game on defense.

CROSS COUNTRY

Sept. 28: Sabers run at Manchester Invitational

Both the Souhegan boys and girls cross country teams turned in a solid performance in the Elite Division at the Manchester Invitational.

As a team, the Souhegan boys finished 10th overall (third among schools from NH), and were led by Eli Moskowitz, who finished third in 16:00 minutes. Also running well for the Sabers were Patrick Lynch (35th, 16:57), Brett Quinn (56th, 17:22), Ben Massa (75th, 17:45) and Ben Platt (82nd, 17:48).

Moskowitz’s time was the fastest NH boys time of the day from over 35 in-state teams competing in the elite, large school, and small school races.

For the girls, Madeleine Hunt led a strong team effort as the Sabers placed fifth in the elite division.

Hunt finished fourth in 19:10. Also running well were Hannah Gillis (25th, 20:23), Hannah Culver (30th, 20:33), Miclyn Noorda (40th, 21:09), Kate Bermingham (48th, 21:24), MinLu Kelly-Durham (51st, 21:30) and Shannon Earley (55th, 21:39).

TEAM RECORDS: S 7–2, GF 5–3. SCORING: Devon Hickey three goals; Katie Almeida, one goal; Gina Mancini three assists; Mickenzie Larivee, one assist. GOALIE SAVES: Kate Heaney, three. OTHER HIGHLIGHTS: Sarah Hurd and Madison Angulas played well at midfield for the Sabers

TEAM SCORES: Souhegan 198, Merrimack Valley 240, Con-Val 242. TEAM RECORDS: Sou 10-8, MV 2-14, C-V 1-13. MEDALIST: Sam Cody (Con-Val) 38. LOCAL GOLFERS: August Darula 39; Michell Hubert 39, Alek Medic 39; Jonathan Robinson 40; and Ryan Stankiewiez 41.

TEAM RECORDS: Sou 5-3, HB 2-5. SCORING: Emma Estabrook (assisted by Peyton Kent) and Estabrook (unassisted). GOALIE SAVES: Mikaela Sullivan earned the shutout, while Ryan Philbrook was excellent in net for Hollis Brookline. OTHER HIGHLIGHTS: Maggie Moskun and Megan Olson both had strong midfield games for Hollis Brookline, while Lindsey Beauregard played well in the back.

SCORING: Sophie LeVert scored a pair of goals for WLC, assisted by Sami Bosquet and Kim Edmunds. Lorrie Blais added an unassisted goal. GOALIE SAVES: WL – Cori Balam, eight. C – Bethany Hector, 20. GAME CHANGER: Stopper Jenna Bragdon was the player of the game for WLC, helping distribute the ball to her teammates.
