Dec. 13: Milford 51,
Oyster River 44

The Milford girls basketball team used the third quarter to extend their lead and never looked back, topping Oyster River 51-44. Rebecca Cleary and Jess Ryan led the Spartans with 12 and 11 points, respectively. Jenn Dupuis also added nine in the victory.



Dec. 14: Sabers lead
the way at Dartmouth

The Souhegan boys track team finished in second place among 15 teams at the Leverone Field House in Hanover on Saturday. Milford placed seventh.

Souhegan was led by Eli Moskowitz’s first place finish in the 3000-meter run. Teammates Ben Platt (600-meter) and Ryan Lynch (1000-meter) finished third in each of their events.

Milford’s Aaron Ladeau placed first in the long jump.

On the girls side, Milford finished in third and Souhegan finished fifth. Mt. Anthony won the event.

Milford’s Miranda Couture won gold for the 600-meter run while teammate Aimee Krafft placed second in the 1500-meter race.

Souhegan had two first-place finishers in Madeleine Hunt (1500-meter) and Hannah Gillis (3000-meter).



Dec. 13: WLC 77,
Hinsdale 43

The Wilton-Lyndeborough offense was clicking on all cylinders to open the season, easily topping Hinsdale 77-43.

Kyle Pratt led the way for WLC with 26 points. Teammate Jordan Litts added 21 while Duncan Rae pitched in eight. The Warriors built a 28-point halftime lead, scoring 46 before the break.
