Oct. 7: Milford 3,
Oyster River 0

Lauren Dishong, Cora Rogers, and Nicole McMorrow scored as the Spartans improved to 6-3-2.

Assists went to Kelsey Poulter and Julia Mazzeo while Kaitlyn Nelson had three saves in goal.

Oct. 9: Milford 2, HB 1

The Spartans survived the Cavaliers’ upset bid by scoring twice in the game’s final seven minutes to improve to 7-3-2 in Division II.

Julia Mazzeo scored off a penalty corner with 6:54 left in the game to tie it 1-1, and Lauren Dishong added the game-winner with 3:44 to play. Kaitlyn Nelson made three saves, all in the first half.

HB (2-9-1) got a goal from Teagan White, assisted by Stephanie Burns, with 2:18 left in the first half. Ashley Skey made 17 saves for the Cavaliers.

Oct. 14: Milford 1,
St. Thomas 0

Maddie Gagnon scored the game’s only goal on a penalty corner with no time left, assisted by Olivia Mabbett as the Spartans improved to 8-3-2. Kaitlyn Nelson had two saves in goal with solid defensive help from Allison Betelak.

Oct. 9: Windham 4,
Milford 3 (2 OT)

The Spartans fell to 4-8 with yet another heartbreaking overtime loss as Windham’s Hannah Pesci scored in the 99th minute.

The Spartans got goals by Morgan Grill, Alyza Sayward and Erin McGuire, with an assist from Mikayla Rush. Casey Phelps had 11 saves in goal for Milford.

GIRLS VOLLEYBALL

Oct. 8: Windham 3,
Milford 1

Olivia Rougeau had another strong match for Milford – recording 12 kills, three blocks, 14 digs and four service aces – but the Spartans came up short in a 25-22, 20-25, 25-20, 25-21 loss to Windham.

Jess Leach (seven kills, nine digs, two aces), Abby Blanchet (25 assists, nine digs, two aces) and Hanna Hembrow (five assists, five blocks, 11 digs, one ace) also played well in the loss.

Oct. 10: Milford 3,
Souhegan 0

The Spartans made quick work of the Sabers to improve to 10-2. Game scores were 25-20, 25-7, and 25-10. Abby Blanchet led Milford with 13 assists, six digs, and three aces.

Olivia Rougeau contributed with eight kills, three blocks, nine digs, and an ace, while Amanda Alcox added 13 digs and two aces. Hanna Hembrow played well with five assists, three kills, and six digs.

For the Sabers, Sam Allen had four kills and two digs. Oksana Clay also had a strong game.

SOUHEGAN

BOYS SOCCER

Oct. 10: Windham 1, Souhegan 0

Teigue Young played well in the loss for the Sabers, only allowing one goal on a total of seven shots. Ely Marciano had a strong offensive showing for Souhegan.

With the loss the Sabers are now 6-3-1 on the season.

GIRLS VOLLEYBALL

Oct 8: Souhegan 3,
ConVal 0

Juliane Donahue (three aces, one block, six kills) and Oksana Clay (five aces, nine digs, 11 assists) paced

Souhegan’s attack in a 25-14, 25-10, 25-19 win over ConVal to even the Sabers record at 6-6 on the season.

Lorrie Blais and Naomi Wight scored for the Warriors, who improved to 8-5 in Division IV.

Dani Bird and Ally Schwab had assists, while Cori Balam made five saves in goal.
