Cabinet High School Highlights
Oct. 17: Milford 5, HB 1
Cora Rogers had a strong game, leading the Spartans with a three goal performance.
Lauren Dishong and Olivia Mabbett had the two other Milford goals, while Nicole McMorrow and Kelsey Poulter added assists.
In goal, Kaitlyn Nelson made two stops to earn the win. For Hollis Brookline, Ashley Skey made 27 saves and Kelly Snyder had the lone goal.
Oct. 15: Milford 3, Coe-Brown 1
Abby Blanchet recorded two aces and 25 assists, a good number of those helpers directed toward Olivia Rougeau – who finished with 18 kills, two blocks, 11 digs and two aces – as Milford beat Coe-Brown (9-4) 25-19, 22-25, 25-20, 25-23.
Amanda Alcox (21 digs, one ace, one kill, one assist), Cecilia Arnoldy (six kills, one block), Jess Scott (six kills, 21 digs, one ace) and Hanna Hembrow (seven assists, three kills, one block, 13 digs) all put up good numbers for the Spartans.
Oct. 18: Milford 3,
Manchester West 0
Abby Blanchet recorded 13 helpers, two kills and four aces to guide Milford in a 25-7, 25-11, 25-10 victory over Manchester West.
Olivia Rougeau (nine kills, two blocks, six aces, five digs, one assist), Jess Scott (five kills, four digs, three aces), Jess Leach (five aces) and Zoe Menendez (four digs, four aces) also came up big for Milford.
Oct. 20: Milford 3, Fall Mountain 0
The Spartans improved to 13-2 with a 25-9, 25-12, 25-21 sweep. Abby Blanchete had 11 assists, one kill, two blocks and three aces, while Amanda Alcox added 10 digs, one kill and five aces.
Also playing well for the Spartans were Hanna Hembrow (three assists, three kills, five digs, five aces), Olivia Rougeau (10 kills, one block, eight digs, eight aces) and Natalie Olsen (six assists).
Oct. 15: Oyster River 2,
Trailing by one goal midway through the first half, Souhegan’s Jasper Jones scored the equalizer off an Ali Eweiss pass to keep the Sabers alive. Unfortunately for the Sabers, Porter McManus found the back of the net with one minute left in regulation for a Bobcats win.
Colin Runk scored OR’s first goal at the 13-minute mark, while James Glass and John Dutka split time in net for seven saves and the win as the Bobcats improved to 8-2-1.
Teigue Young (nine saves) and Josh Massa (one save) stood tall in net for the Sabers.
Oct. 17: Souhegan 2, Milford 0
Jasper Jones was the man of the match for Souhegan, as Jones scored two beautiful goals in the second half to lift the Sabers over the Spartans.
Devan Casey and Ali Eweiss picked up the assists on the goals.
Teigue Young earned the shutout for Souhegan by making three saves, while Milford’s Chris Pevere was very impressive in net with 17 saves.
Oct. 20: Souhegan 4, ConVal 0
Ali Eweiss had a pair of goals as the Sabers moved to 8-4-1. Josh Anson and Reed Larson each had a goal while assists went to Ely Marciano, Jasper Jones, and Matt Hopfenspirger.
Teigue Young earned the shutout with eight saves. Mitch Greaney and Keelan McKenzie also played well defensively at outside midfield.
Oct. 21: HB 1, Souhegan 0
Cole Owens’ first half goal off a Jack Barbour cross provided the only goal of the game as the Cavaliers improved to 14-1.
Michael Pattelena (four saves) got the shutout in net despite good play from Sabers Matt Hopfenspirger, Devan Casey, Reed Larson, and Ali Eweiss. Souhegan, which also got five saves from netminder Teigue Young, fell to 8-5-1.
Oct. 17: Souhegan 3, Pelham 0
Game scores for the Saber’s sweep were 25-23, 25-12, 25-16. Oksana Clay had a great game for Souhegan with six aces, 11 digs, one kill, and nine assists. Brooke Tanguay added three digs and three assists, while Sam Allen was solid with four aces and five kills.
Oct. 17: Newmarket 5, WLC 2
The Warriors got two goals from Jenna Bragdon and Kelsey Randlett and assists from Ally Schwab and Jenna Bragdon, but that would not be enough as their record is now 8-6.
Cori Balam had nine saves in goal for Wilton.
Oct. 20: WLC 3,
Portsmouth Christian 0
Lorrie Blais had a pair of goals while Naomi Wight added a single tally for the Warriors (9-6). Assists on the day went to Jenna Bragdon, Kelsey Randlett and Grace Wight.
Cori Balam had four saves in goal to earn the shutout.
