Moskowitz headed to nationals

Souhegan High School’s Eli Moskowitz added one more jewel to his high school cross country career Saturday with a seventh-place at the Foot Locker Cross Country Championships (FLCCC) Northeast Regional in New York.

The top 10 boys and the top 10 girls from Saturday’s competition qualified for the Foot Locker Cross Country National Finals, Dec. 13 in San Diego.

Moskowitz finished the in 15:41. The Souhegan senior also took first place in the Division II meet and the state Meet of Champions winner, and fifth in the New Englands.

Alex Ostberg of Darien, Conn., won Saturday’s boys meet in 15:18. Brianna Schwartz of Pittsburgh won Saturday’s girls race in 17:36.

Other finishers from New Hampshire included Cameron Daly, of Inter-Lakes, who finished 17th in the boys race; Liam Kimball, of Timberlane, who was 30th; Hopkinton’s Dominic Repucci, who was 42nd; Exeter’s Juston Carbone was 56th; Pinkerton’s Nicolas Sevilla was 64th.

On the girls side, Exeter’s Shannon Murdock came in 26th; Pinkerton’s Morgan Sansing was 28th; Cassie Shea, of Concord, was 41st; Ariel Vaillancourt, of Pinkerton, came in 73rd.
