BOYS BASKETBALL

Feb. 17: Milford 64,
ConVal 50

Kirk Palladino had 19 points while Jack Briggs added 14 in one of the better offensive games of the year for the Spartans. Drew Jepson also had 10 points for Milford.

Feb. 20: Milford 77,
St. Thomas 63

The Spartans were led by Kirk Palladino (25 points) and Jack Briggs (21 points), as they earned their ninth win of the season to improve to 9-5. The game was back and forth for the first three quarters, but both the Milford offense and defense found their grove in the fourth, as the offense scored 25 and the defense limited St. Thomas to 12. Due to the potential of a collapsed roof, the game was played at Milford Middle School.

Feb. 17: Milford 60,
ConVal 36

The Spartans cruised as they put 11 players in the scoring column, led by Adelle Pitsas with 16 points and Jess Ryan with 10.

SOUHEGAN

BOYS BASKETBALL

Feb. 20: Goffstown 53, Souhegan 42

Brock Lefebvre had a solid night from the field, scoring a team-high 16 points, but Souhegan couldn’t overcome Goffstown’s offensive attack in a 53-42 loss.

Marcus Haynes led the way for Goffstown with a game-high 21 points, while teammate Tim Comeau added 15 in a supporting role.

Alex Hill had a solid night with 12 points for the Sabers.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Feb. 17: Souhegan 37,
Man. West 31

The Sabers won thanks to some clutch play in the fourth quarter. Mia Len had all six of her points during that span, including going 4-for-4 from the line. Ciarri Lavertu led Souhegan with 11 points while Hannah Chick added 10.

BOYS HOCKEY

Feb. 18: Souhegan 9,
ConVal 2

Souhegan’s Robbie Duarte recorded a hat trick, and teammates James Wilson (two assists) and Alek Medic chipped in with two goals each as the Sabers cruised to a 9-2 Division III victory over ConVal at the Winchendon (Mass.) School Ice Arena.

Patrick McGrath (two assists) and Jon Ehrlich (one assist) added solo tallies for Souhegan, which out shot ConVal 38-9 in the win. Getting on the scoresheet with helpers were Cade Facey, Jonathan Gaffney (two), Alex Maresco and Paul Stacy. Thomas Lott stopped seven of the nine shots he saw to record the win between the pipes.

Feb. 20: Belmont-Gilford 6, Souhegan

The Sabers trailed 6-1 after two periods but a third period rally fell short. Scoring for Souhegan were Alek Medic (two goals), Alex Maresco (goal) and Kevin O’Brien (goal and an assist). James Wilson had a pair of assists while Jon Ehrlich added an assist.

Souhegan goalie Thomas Lott had 18 saves.

Jordan Litts had a triple-double – 25 points, 10 rebounds and 12 assists – to help the Warriors. Trey Carrier had 20 points and Ty Carrier added 12.

Feb. 20: WLC 54,
Newmarket 35

Jordan Litts scored 24 points as the Warriors improved to 13-3 in Division IV.
