Lorden hauls in TD for UNH

Bishop Guertin graduate and Milford native Nick Lorden hauled in a touchdown to lead the University of New Hampshire offense in the Blue-White game at Wildcat Stadium on Saturday. Blue earned a 20-3 victory.

The annual intersquad game puts the finishing touches on spring football for the Wildcats.

Lorden snagged a 7-yard strike from redshirt freshman quarterback Christian Lupoli, who is competing for the backup job behind Amherst native Trevor Knight.

Knight, a junior entering his second season as the starting signal caller, completed 8 of 14 passes for 86 yards on the day.

Along with a touchdown, Lorden, a redshirt freshman, was one of 12 Wildcats to receive the most improved award among the players in their positional group. McDonnell’s other choices included: Will Pollard (QB), Jerickson Fedrick (RB), John DiCaro (TE), Jeff Carter (OL), Rick Holt (DT), Mike Boryeskne (DE), Isiah Perkins (CB), Jared Kuehl (LB), Geno Miller (S), Max Pedinoff (K) and the Bob O’Keefe Strongman Award went to Trevon Bryant.
