Infinity Swim off to superb start in 2018

The Infinity Swim Club out of Hampshire Hills in Milford headed to Boston University for its first meet of 2018 recently. A whopping 90 (out of 121) swims recorded personal bests for the Infinity members. Here’s a look at the highlights.

Gwen Balboni dominated the weekend winning six events, the 500 freestyle, 50 and 100 breaststroke, 50 and 100 butterfly and the 100 IM.

Izzy Balboni won four times and took second in three others. She won the 50 and 100 breast, the 50 fly and 100 IM. placing second in the 100 fly, 500 free and 200 IM.

Braelyn Wilson reached six different finals, including third places in the 100 back and 200 IM, with a fourth in the 50 back.

Anders Toresjo (7th, 100 back and 50 back) reached three different finals, as did Keara Wilson (5th in the 200 IM and 200 free).

Mikael Rantala reached a pair of finals, grabbing 10th in the 50 and 100 fly. Jasmine Blay (10th in 50 breast), Mia Chen (8th, 200 free) and Markus Rantala (17th, 100 back) all reached the finals in one event.

Madelyn Arseneau, Lily Chappell, Thatcher Daily, Addison Ebol and Teah-Lou Morel all racked up new silver qualifying times.

Hunter Daily rolled up five personal bests in six events. Cali Chappell recorded personal bests in three of her four events. Shilo Chappell rattled off a pair of personal bests.
