Dodgers win first NEIBL title

Cam LaFleur pitched six innings, striking out eight, walking two and allowing just two hits as the Hollis Brookline Dodgers beat the Weare Nationals 6-0 for the inaugural New England Independent Baseball league championship Saturday in Hollis.

Austin Pigott finished things off on the mound in the seventh, while Shea Whalen (2 for 2) paced the offense with a homer and three RBIs. Joe Spohn (2 for 2, RBI) and Cam Chrystal (1 for 3, RBI) also chipped in with big days for the Dodgers.
