Dec. 29: Goffstown 40,
HB 34

Tim Comeau scored 10 of his game-high 12 points in the first half as the Grizzlies held off the Cavaliers in the first game Monday of the Chick-Fil-A Holiday Tournament at Nashua South.

Matt Fothergill led HB with 11 points and Trevor Bowler added eight.

HB grabbed an early lead, but Goffstown went on a 16-2 run to grab a 10-point lead. The Cavs were able to pull within two by halftime and took the lead in the fourth quarter on a 3-pointer by Will Petersen with 4:14 left in the game.

But those would be the last points HB would score, as Goffstown closed the game on a 9-0 run.

Dec. 30: Milford 44, HB 34

The Spartans finished the game on a 10-0 run to pick up a win in the opening game of the second day of the Chick-Fil-A Holiday Tournament at Nashua South.

Drew Jepson came off the bench to lead Milford with 13 points, hitting three 3-pointers and going 4 of 4 for the line in the final minutes. Jack Briggs was also in double figures with 12 points, with two 3s, and Ryan Banuskevich also had two 3s and eight points.

Milford got to an 18-2 lead in the first quarter, as the Cavaliers struggled to score for the second straight game. HB went almost two full quarters – going back to Monday’s loss to Goffstown – scoring just two points.

HB tied the game at 34 with 2:58 to play, but the Cavs wouldn’t score again. Matt Fothergil led HB with 10 points and Trevor Bowler added eight.

Jan. 3: HB 66,
St. Thomas 60

Matt Fothergill had 10 of his team-high 15 points in a 27-point first quarter as the Cavaliers improved to 1-1 on the year. Trevor Bowler and Will Petersen added 13 points each.

Jan. 6: HB 51,
Timberlane 50

Nick Fothergill hit two key free throws down the stretch as the Cavaliers (2-1) held off winless Timberlane (0-3). Matt Fothergill led the Cavs with 13 points while Trevor Bowler added nine.


Dec. 23: HB 54,
Goffstown 21

The Cavaliers won their third dual meet of the season by beating the Grizzlies.

Getting pins for Hollis Brookline were Nathaniel Lindsay (138 pounds), Christian Lopez (160) and Clement Sherwood (285).

Lucas Cummings (145) and Andrew Butler (170) also got a win while Garrett Klausner (120), Thomas Hoey (120), Caleb Lomme (182), Garrett Moloney (195) and Kayne Robert (220) won by forfeit.

Jan. 3: Cavs finish
fourth out of 16

Caleb Lomme won the lone championship for the Cavaliers at 182 pounds by pinning his way through the Saratoga Springs (N.Y.) Invitational.

Also placing third for Hollis Brookline were Nathaniel Lindsay (132), Christian Lopez (152), and Andrew Butler (160).

Wyatt Farwell (170), Kayne Robert (195) and Clement Sherwood (220) in fourth, and Lucas Cummings (138) and Nick Mcpherson (145) in sixth.


Jan. 3: St. Thomas 49,
HB 28

The Cavaliers dropped to 1-4 as they trailed 25-12 at halftime and never recovered. Kristen Dupont led the way with 11 points, while Kenzie Day had six.
