The Hollis Brookline/Derryfield hockey team was unable to string a pair of wins together, as they fell to Keene. The loss drops HBDS to 1-7.

Allen Melo scored the lone goal for the visitors, assisted by Kyle Stevens and Tommy Johnson. For Keene, Jason Langevin had three goals in the victory.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Jan. 23: HB 48, Souhegan 37

The Cavaliers earned their second win of the season, with a strong defensive effort in the first half. Hollis Brookline managed to hold Souhegan to just nine points, while scoring 23 of their own in the first half.

Cassandra Staplefeld was solid in the win for the Cavs, dropping a game high 22 points. Kristin Johnson also had a good game with 12 points, while Souhegan got 15 from Hannah Chick.
