GIRLS TENNIS

Division I Quarterfinals:

May 27: No. 3 Bishop Brady 7, No. 6 HB 2

Hollis Brookline got singles wins from Courtney Koran and senior Lizzy Davis, who played her final match for Hollis Brookline. The girls ended their season with a 11-3 record and look forward to next season.

BOYS VOLLEYBALL

May 27: HB 3, Bishop Guertin 0

Game scores in the Cavs sweep were 25-22, 25-20, and 25-16. Aaron Campbell as solid for Hollis Brookline with 12 kills, while teammates Bobby Ripley (24 assists) and Evan Dwyer (four digs) also had strong games. For Bishop Guertin, Kyle Cushion had four aces, 10 kills, and four assists.

May 29: HB 3, Keene 0

Game scores in the Hollis Brookline sweep were: 25-12, 25-12, and 25-23. Aaron Campbell was solid with 16 kills and six aces. Tucker McIlwrath had five kills and Evan Dwyer had three aces. Scott VanCoughnett added 15 assists.

GIRLS LACROSSE

May 26: BG 20, HB 4

The Cardinals got hat tricks from four different players as they cruised to a victory over Hollis Brookline.

Kate Bradford, Bryn Carroll, Olivia Koutsos and Caroline Boudreau each scored three goals in the victory. Kyra Lowenberg, Cara Broderick, Madison Gilbride, Erica DiMeo, Kayli Keenan, Kristin Cameron, Marie Laplante and Mikayla Elliott also scored for Bishop Guertin.

Lauren Trepany and Elise Albertini split time in net for the Cardinals, combining for three saves.

Holly Eisenberg scored three goals for the Cavaliers, and Shae Berry netted one.

May 29: HB 15, Manchester Central 10

Maria Passamonte scored three goals, giving her 46 for the season, as Hollis Brookline finished their regular season with a win over Manchester Central.

Holly Eisenberg scored three goals in the win, while Hannah MacLeod netted a pair. Bella Zampieri, Shae Berry, Kelly Snyder and Marin Owens also scored in the victory.

Abbey Schultz and Felicity Robert combined to save six shots for the Cavaliers, who finish the regular season with a 5-9 record. The game marked John Taber’s final appearance as Hollis Brookline’s coach.

SOFTBALL

May 28: HB 4, Portsmouth 3

The Cavaliers finished up the regular season 12-4 as Natalie Paquin went 3 for 4 with two RBIs and Avery Webb went 2 for 3 with an RBI. Kelsey Mansfield went 1 for 2, just missing a homer, while pitcher Ashley Skey tossed a three-hitter, striking out five and walking two.

BASEBALL

May 28: Portsmouth 14, HB 3

The Cavaliers’ tough season came to an end as they finished 2-14, despite starting out with two runs in the first. Hugh Devlin had an RBI while pitcher Tommy Grant took the loss.
