Teagan White got Hol­lis Brookline’s lone goal on the first shot of the game, but the Pride came back, tying the game before half­time and scoring three un­answere goals in the second half. Steph Buchanan, Lanie Wood and Alexi Migneault played for the Cavaliers.


Aug. 28: Windham 2, HB 0

Windham scored two second half goals to beat the Cavaliers. Nick Wood made four saves for HB in defeat, while Joey Dias, Dale Jacobs, Mark Labak, Max Mello and Kyle Simpson made their Cavaliers soccer debuts.

Sept. 1: Trinity 3, HB 0

The Cavaliers failed to get a single shot on goal while falling to 0-2. Hollis Brookline goalie Nick Wood made four saves.


Aug. 28: HB 2, Souhegan 1

Sydney Brackett scored a pair of key goals to lift the Cavaliers to an overtime vic­tory over Souhegan.

The Sabers got on the board first when Hannah Chick netted a goal right before the end of the first half. Brackett scored her first goal after halftime, and she scored the game winner on a penalty kick at the end of the first overtime.

Megan Olson played standout defensive for the Cavs in front of goalie Ol­ivia Cleghorn, who stopped 14 shots. Mikayla LaChance stopped 10 shots for Souhe­gan.

Sept. 1: HB 6, Trinity 2

Sydney Brackett had three goals and two assists as the Cavaliers improved to 2-0 on the season. Torrey Cook had a goal and an assist while Haley Modelski and Madeline McCann each had a goal. Ellie Casewell and Taylor Cook had single as­sists, and Olivia Clegghorn collected seven saves in net.

Hollis Brookline’s Sarah Cramton ran a strong race, finishing as individual run­ner-up in 21 minutes and 32 seconds, while guiding the Cavaliers to the same result as a team in their sea­son-opening quad-meet.

The host Jaguars, led by race winner Susan Poore (21:32), won the team por­tion of the meet with 24 points. They were followed by the Cavs (43 points), St. Thomas (80) and Trinity (89).

HB’s top six runners, in­cluding Cramton, where Madylin Partridge (eighth, 23:42), Megan Cramton (10th, 24:20), Kay Partridge (11th, 24:27), Celeste Fet­ter (14th, 24:51) and Nicole Plummer (17th, 26:36).


Sept. 1: HB runner-up in Windham

Peter Caron ran to first place in 17 minutes and 22 seconds, leading the host Windham Jaguars to 33 points and a season-opening win over Hollis Brookline (56 points), Trinity (77) and St. Thomas (78).

HB’s Cam Jackson was runner-up in 18:01, while Joel Delong (seventh, 19:27), Kyle Shu (14th, 21:11), Evan Simonds (16th, 21:16), Ken­ny Corsetti (17th, 21:19), Tucker Wood (25th, 22:01) and Sean Cunanan (26th, 22:02) rounded out the top seven Cavaliers runners at the meet.
