BOYS VOLLEYBALL

Hollis Brookline 3, Coe Brown 0

The Hollis Brookline boys volleyball team improved to 6-1 on the season after a three-set romp at Coe Brown on Monday. The Cavaliers won by scores of 25-11, 25-10 and 25-17.

Tucker McIlwrath led the way with 11 kills and five blocks and Jacob McGettigan was outstanding from the service line with six aces. Nathan Thomas paced the defense with 14 digs and Nathan Cole chipped in three aces and six digs.

The Cavs will return to the court Wednesday at Dover.

BASEBALL

Sanborn 4, Hollis Brookline 3

Mitch Dreyer went 3 for 3 and drove in two runs, but the Cavaliers were edged at home on Friday, April 29.

Cam Chrystal blasted a solo homer for Hollis Brookline, while Kobe Popham and Jack Belanger each pitched three innings, gave up one earned run apiece and combined for three strikeouts.

GIRLS LACROSSE

Souhegan 18, Hollis Brookline 5

The Sabers extended their unbeaten streak to six after easily topping the Cavaliers on Friday. Brigid Casey and Taylor Clark each had three goals in the victory.

Kate Bermingham finished with a pair of goals and four assists, and Hailey Johnson contributed two goals and two assists. Gwen Hale, Timber Devine and Sammi Jay finished with two goals apiece.

Celeste Fetter led Hollis Brookline (2-4) with a pair of goals, while teammate Holly Eisenburg added a goal and two assists. Abbey Schultze had five saves in the loss.

Bedford 15, Hollis Brookline 2

Holly Eisenberg and Celeste Fetter scored one goal each and Abbey Schultz made 12 saves in net, but Hollis Brookline suffered a 15-2 loss at Bedford on Tuesday, April 26.
