Merrimack High School Highlights


May 21: Merrimack 8, Winnacunnet 6

Matt Brewster scored three goals and Robby Todd made 15 saves to secure an 8-6 Senior Night win for Merrimack against Winnacunnet Regional of Hampton.

Also contributing offensively for the Tomahawks were Mac Martin (one goal, one assist), Pierre Watt (one goal), Jason Fortin (one goal, one assist), Tyler Brewster (one goal) and John Tiano (on goal).

May 23: Bedford 21, Merrimack 3

Pierre Watt and Matt Brewster each had a goal for Merrimack, while Mac Martin added a goal and an assist. With the loss Merrimack falls to 7-8.


May 21: Londonderry 6, Merrimack 3

Singles winners for Merrimack included: No. 5 Zoe Lanier (8-4) and No. 6 Becca Jackson (8-1). In doubles, the No. 3 duo of Kiera Crowley and Jackson won their matchup (8-5). Merrimack is now 4-9 on the season.


May 21: Merrimack 4, Spaulding 3

Kyle Lawson earned the win for the Tomahawks, pitching five and two thirds innings, allowing six hits, two runs, and striking out two. At the plate, Mickey Gasper had one hit and one RBI and Mark Feeney had one RBI.

May 23: Merrimack 6, Manchester Central 3

Justin Grassini pitched a complete game for the Tomahawks, allowing no earned runs on six hits and striking out five. At the plate, Mike Conlin, Devin Gillis, and Justin Grassini each had one hit and an RBI apiece, while Mark Feeney had two hits and an RBI. With the win Merrimack improves to 5-10.


May 23: Merrimack 20, Timberlane 12

Courtney Duffy finished the regular season on a high note, scoring eight goals to lead Merrimack past Timberlane. Dana Mendes added four goals and teammates Sarah Shaw, Jenny Mulligan and Samantha Anderson each netted two. Amber Olson and Samantha James also scored for Merrimack. Stephanie Sylvester led the Tomahawks with 10 saves.


May 23: Merrimack 5, Nashua North 1

Tomahawks pitcher Caitlin Minear had one of her best performances of the season as she led Merrimack past Nashua North.

Minear pitched all seven innings, allowing only one run on one hit. On the other side, Sarah Odierno overcame one tough inning for a solid outing.

Brittany Camara led Merrimack with two RBIs and a triple. Anjelica Gonzalez added three hits, including an RBI double. Hailey Reed had the lone hit for the Titans.
