FIELD HOCKEY

Sept. 3: Merrimack 3, Nashua North 0

Callie Dwyer scored two goals and assisted on a third, leading Merrimack to a 3-0 season-opening win over Nashua North at Stellos Stadium. Titans goalie Jessica Schuyler did all she could to stop the Tomahawks, recording 20 saves in defeat.

Both of Dwyer’s goals came with help from Dana Mendes. Dwyer then fed Jessie Londono for the Tomahawks third goal. Also playing well in victory were Torie Currie and goalie Mackensie Hennas, who recorded four saves.

Sept. 5: Merrimack 3, Pinkerton Academy 2

Kayla Londono scored the first goal of the game for Merrimack, with the assist going to Callie Dwyer. In the second half, Dana Mendes tallied another Merrimack goal, with Dwyer once again assisting.

The game winner was scored by Dwyer, with the assist going to Ali Chouinard. In goal for the Tomahawks, Mackensie Hennas made 12 saves. Tori Curry, Julia Perry, and Rachel Schwartz all had solid defensive games. With the win Merrimack improves to 2-0.

Sept. 10: Merrimack 1, Timberlane 0

Callie Dwyer scored the games lone goal, unassisted in the first half, and Merrimack held on for the 1-0 win at Timberlane Regional of Plaistow. Mackensie Hennas recorded six saves in the win, while Julia Perry, Kayla Londono and Emily Eckert also played well for the Tomahawks.

GIRLS SOCCER

Sept. 9: Merrimack 1,
Winnacunnet 1 (2 OT)

Morgan Chantler scored for the Tomahawks (0-2-1), assisted by Dena Noiseux. Abby Smith, Kelly Eno and Lauren Dubrois played well defensively.

BOYS SOCCER

Sept. 9: Merrimack 2,
Winnacunnet 1

Owen Tracey had a goal and Stevie Sexton a goal and an assist to pace the Tomahawks, who evened their record at 2-2. Zach Curran added an assist while back Connor Martin and midfielder.

Ethan Harrington also played well. ’Hawks goalie Austen Thomson had three saves.

GIRLS VOLLEYBALL

Sept. 5: Merrimack 3, Nashua South 0

Merrimack cruised to a sweep over South, with scores of 25-14, 25-11, and 25-16. Jen Coffey had 15 kills and 10 digs, while Elise Jolly had eight kills and two blocks. Caitlyn Paulson had five aces, while Jo Coffey had 31 assists. Katie Flynn added eight digs and four kills.

Sept. 10: Merrimack 3, Timberlane 1

Elise Jolly recorded 15 digs, 12 kills and two blocks and Jen Coffey added 19 kills, 16 digs and eight aces to lead Merrimack over Timberlane 25-11, 25-11, 25-27 and 25-13.

Jo Coffey (29 assists, seven kills, seven aces) and Tayla Schipilliti (six kills, one block) also had solid nights for the Tomahawks (3-0).

GOLF

Sept. 5: Nashua North 202, Salem, 220, Merrimack 233

Top golfers for Nashua North were: Brandon Gillis (Medalist, 33), Michael Jensen (40), Tommy Hyland (40), Brenan Kastens (44), Brayn Provencher (45). Top golfers for Merrimack were Brennan Gillis (42) and Zak Kerr (42). North improves to 3-3 with the wins, while Merrimack falls to 0-2.
