Merrimack High School Highlights


Jan. 3: Merrimack third, Souhegan fourth

The Tomahawks finished third at 1645, ahead of Souhegan (1463) but behind second place Pinkerton (1739) and match winner and host Stevens (1748). Zack Amodio led the Tomahawks with a 375 total, followed by Jacob Weaver (361), Matt Larson (349), Drew Halpin (312), and Chris Puglisi (264). Stevens took over first place in Division I.


Jan. 6: Trinity 50, Merrimack 45

Ian Cummings and Austin Franzen led Merrimack’s second-half rally with 14 and 12 points respectively, but it wasn’t enough in a 50-45 loss to Trinity in Manchester. Luke Testa scored 14 to lead Trinity (2-1), which held a 30-15 lead at halftime.
