Baseball

Exeter 7, Merrimack 3

The Tomahawks had trouble pushing runners home April 28 as they tallied nine hits but could only score three runs. Andrew Michaud (three hits, RBI), Alex Thornton (two hits, RBI), and Christian Adler (hit, RBI) provided the offense.

Starting pitcher Justin Grassini went four innings, giving up one hit and striking out five.

Londonderry 5, Merrimack 2

Merrimack starting pitcher Alex Thornton went 3 1/3 innings with three hits, and struck out two. Justin Grassini had two hits and Thornton had one hit and an RBI for the Tomahawks.

Softball

Nashua North 9, Merrimack 3

Jacqueline Dumont had a spectacular day going 4 for 4 with a homer and three doubles as the Titans improved to 2-3, pounding out 14 hits.

Lexis Gayac went 2 for 3 while North pitcher Emily Blondin held the Tomahawks to four hits.

Liz Scheurich went 2 for 3 with two RBIs for Merrimack (1-4) while Brenna Davenport went 1 for 2 with an RBI.

Exeter 8, Merrimack 3

The Tomahawks dropped one on Saturday against Exeter.

Londonderry 6, Merrimack 1

Miranda Delibac went seven innings Monday, walking four, giving up seven hits and striking out four. Brenna Davenport (1 for 3, run), Kaleigh Blades (1 for 3), and Nadia Hackney (1 for 1, RBI) put in great efforts.

Girls Lacrosse

Merrimack 15, Nashua South 5

Merrimack evened its record to 3-3 with a lopsided win over the Panthers on April 28.

Track and Field

Locals perform well at Black Bear

Merrimack senior Siaoli Wright was fastest in the 300 hurdles (46.86) at the Black Bear Invitational featuring 30-plus schools and teammate Elise Jolly tied for fifth in the high jump (5-0). Wright also claimed second in the long jump (15-6 ¼).

Boys: Keene 88, Merrimack 48

Merrimack got wins on April 25 from Carter Sherman in the 400 (1:01.79), Devin Crowley in the 800 (2:10.32), Jonathan Paulhamus in the long jump (16-6.75), Jason Hatfield in the discus (109-9).

Crowley also helped pace a 4Ö400 relay win.

Girls: Keene 67, Merrimack 65

The ‘Hawks had two double winners on April 25: Elise Jolly in the high jump (4-6) and javelin (80-8), Lauren Hatfield in the pole vault (7-0) and triple jump (28-10.5).

Other firsts belonged to Natalie Desilets in the 100 (15.04), September Ven in the 400 (1:15.76) and Cassie Child in the 300 hurdles (1:03.08). Merrimack also took both relays.
