Bedford’s Pre-Memorial Day Parade and Rotary race took place last weekend.

Town Clerk, Lori Radke and town resident, Roy Stewart, were the parade judges. The winners were: Sunshine Generation, Best Commercial Float; Bedford Girl Scout Troop #22928, Best Community Float; Bedford Fire Department Honor Guard, Best Color Guard; Joseph Malyndzak and his green 1929 Ford, Best Antique Vehicle; and Boy Scout Troop #414, Best Marching Unit.

Winners at the Bedford Rotary Memorial Road Race for the men were: Kevin Johnson, of Hanover, setting a new record with a time of 36:51, in first place; Nate Jenkins, of Andover, Mass., in second place; and Eric MacKnight, of Clifton Part, NY. Top finishers for the women were Emily Kroshus, of Boston, in first; Lindsay Willard, of Medford, Mass., in second; and Caroline Bjune, of Andover, Mass., in third.
