Summer craft shop planned

The Craftworkers’ Guild will hold its first-ever summer craft shop on Saturday, July 7, and Sunday, July 8, at the Kendall House behind the Bedford Public Library. For this event, the Craftworkers’ Guild will be joining with the Bedford Womens’ Club and Bedford Garden Club in support of their Follow the Blooms Garden Tour on Saturday July 7.

Garden enthusiasts and all others are invited to visit the shop and discover the latest locally made handcrafted items. The shop includes seasonal items, home and personal accessories, jewelry, glass, woodwork, fiber and fabric arts, folk arts, children’s goods, painting, photography, paper arts and cards, gourmet foods and more. Many items in this show will feature garden and floral themes.

For this special event, the Craftworkers’ Guild will be offering crafting demonstrations for visitors, and will also provide tables and outdoor seating for those who would like a spot to enjoy a picnic lunch.

Shop hours are from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, and admission is free. All are welcome and it is not necessary to purchase a Garden Tour ticket to visit the Craftworkers’ Guild Shop.

The Follow the Blooms Garden Tour will be held on Saturday only, from 10 a.m.-3 p.m., rain or shine, and tickets will be available that day for $20 each from the tour registration tent at Peter Woodbury School, 180 County Road in Bedford, as well as at the Craftworkers’ Guild Shop.
