Derryfield School senior Cameron Campbell, of Bedford, has won a $2,500 National Merit Scholarship.

Campbell was one of five students in the Manchester school’s senior class to score within the top 1 percent of students nationally (16,000 out of 1.5 million students) on their PSATs and earn the honor of being named semi-finalists in the National Merit Scholarship Program.

All five students were then named finalists, with Campbell winning a scholarship. Campbell will attend Stanford University in the fall.
