ARL hosts adoption event on August, 24

The Animal Rescue League of New Hampshire will be open for 30 straight hours in hopes of finding homes for the increasing number of animals in need.

This adoption event will start at noon Friday, Aug. 24, and end at 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 25.

Danielle Snyder, director of adoptions at the ARL, said, “Currently, we have over 200 animals up for adoption. As a limited admissions shelter, we can only take in the animals we can care for. We have a pretty extensive list of animals that are waiting to get in the door, but we need to make room for them by adopting out some of our current animals.”

All are welcome. Promotions will be going on all night. For example, the time of arrival will correspond to the discounted adoption price for all adult cats. Come in at 9 p.m., pay $9 for your furry feline. If you get to the shelter at 2 a.m., pay just $2.

“A lot of families start to think about a new pet at the end of summer because they are ready to get back to school and routines,” Snyder said. “We hope to help many animals find their forever homes with this adoption event.”
