NE Farm Workers’ Council offers support

MANCHESTER – The New England Farm Workers’ Council is a federally funded nonprofit organization dedicated to serving the employment and training needs of low-income agricultural workers, including those in the farming, landscaping and fishing industries.

The NEFWC can provide assistance in resume and cover letter writing, interviewing skills and job searching, and also may be able to offer financial support for training and other related assistance.

The program allows for personal attention and flexibility to help people reach their goals, whether they want to advance in agriculture or explore other career possibilities.

People may be eligible for the program if they have worked five weeks or earned $800 in agriculture in the last two years, live in a low-income household, are a New Hampshire resident and are legally able to work in the U.S. Dependents of agricultural workers also may be eligible.
