MILFORD – The Souhegan Valley Chamber of Commerce welcomed Sheree Kaplan as the new owner of the Milford Subaru dealership with a ribbon cutting on Jan. 27. Kaplan purchased the dealership Nov. 11. Kaplan is no stranger to selling cars. She is the second generation of her family to own an auto dealership; her father opened an auto dealership in Providence, R.I., 65 years ago, and Kaploan grew up in the business. When her father died in 1991, Kaplan purchased his business and moved the Jaguar/Land Rover dealership to Warwick, R.I. A few years later, she opened a second Jaguar/ Land Rover dealership in Norwood, Mass. Kaplan’s son, Eddy Allen, is the third generation of her family to work in the business in the Norwood location. Kaplan was looking for a Subaru dealership to add to her businesses. "I always loved the Subaru brand," Kaplan said. "So I started looking for a dealership to purchase and found Milford Subaru. "I’m really looking forward to growing the business and being part of the Milford community." Kaplan said that when it comes to growing a business, it’s all about people. "I love people and meeting new customers," Kaplan said. "When I opened the Norwood dealership and grew it to one of the top Land Rover dealerships in the country, it was because we really cared about treating people right.
