NSO’s ‘Simply Great’ features Schepkin

NASHUA – The Nashua Symphony Orchestra will be joined by Sergey Schepkin on piano for Beethoven’s “Emperor” Concerto at 8 p.m. Saturday, March 17, at the Edmund M. Keefe Auditorium, 117 Elm St.

The program, “Simply Great,” also will include Schubert’s monumental Symphony No. 9, nicknamed “The Great.”

Schepkin’s “explosive technique is exactly what we were looking for on this program,” Nashua Symphony Executive Director Eric Valliere said. “The Beethoven Concerto will be well served by Schepkin’s brand of intensity, showcasing the passion of the piece and drawing out its subtle nuances.”

Tickets are $12-$48. They’re available at www.nashuasymphony.org or 595-9156.
