Amherst Orthodontics Annual Scholarship

Dr. Deb & Dr. Diane from Amherst Orthodontics invites prospective female applicants to see their guidance counselors to apply for the annual Amherst Orthodontics Scientific Women’s Scholarship. Candidates must be a senior with a B average and interested in pursuing a career in health sciences. Scholarship winners are announced at the following high school senior awards assemblies: Souhegan, Milford, Bedford, Hollis/Brookline.

Each school has its own deadline.

Journalism student scholarships available

The Journalism Education Foundation of New England, a division of the New England Newspaper & Press Association, will award $1,000 scholarships to high school seniors and college students in the six-state region who plan to pursue a career in journalism. To qualify, students must be residents of New England, be a senior in high school planning to attend college the following year or a college student studying journalism or a related field, and have a GPA of 2.3 or above.

Space Camp scholarships

The McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center and its philanthropic partner, Touch the Future, Inc., are searching for this year’s candidates of the annual Alex Higgins Space Camp Scholarship. The scholarship covers the cost of tuition to Space Camp in Huntsville, Ala. where participants are immersed in simulated air and space training. The deadline for submitting applications is March 31 and is open to New Hampshire residents ages 7-18.

Hollis Woman’s Club Scholarship

The Hollis Woman’s Club is accepting applications for its annual Alternative Scholarship, which is awarded to an area woman who is going back to school or beginning her education at a non-traditional time. To be eligible, applicants must be a female 21 years or older and live in the greater Nashua area.

The application can be found on www.holliswomans club.org on the documents page and must be received no later than April 6.

Educational Outfitters scholarship contest for k-12

Educational Outfitters will hold a scholarship contest for the 2012-13 school year. The winner of this contest can win one of four $2,000 scholarships or one of four $500 scholarships. Proceeds will be applied toward tuition expenses to any private K-12 institution during the coming school year.

Assignment: Creatively express your ideas and dreams about faith, hope and love, what they mean to you personally, and the lasting impact they create in your family, community, nation and world. Students may choose to write an essay, compose a song, submit a painting or photograph, create a short video, or other creative expression of their choosing.
