Nashua-based Cure With Hope to hold second annual musical fundraiser

NASHUA – Cure With Hope will host its 2nd annual Evening With Hope from 7 p.m.-midnight Friday, June 1, at Alpine Grove Banquet Facility in Hollis. There will be live music by Eastwood Peak, dancing, hors d’oeuvres, a cash bar, desserts, a raffle and auction.

Cure With Hope is a nonprofit corporation based in Nashua that was founded in 2009 by 18-year-old Rebecca Rose Tabat shortly after she was diagnosed with a Stage IV adenocarcinoma, which took her life eight months later. During her treatment, she designed a logo and raised money through the sale of bracelets and T-shirts. All proceeds were donated to the children’s oncology floor where she was treated for the purchase of entertainment that would benefit the children staying there.

Since Tabat’s death, her family and friends formalized the corporation, registered as a nonprofit and continued her mission. Cure With Hope continues to raise money from donations, fundraising events and the sale of bracelets, T-shirts, sweatshirts, car decals and stuffed bears through curewithhope.org.

Cure With Hope has donated more than $15,000 in cash and merchandise to the Child Life Services Department at the Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth.

Tickets are $30 in advance or $35 at the door. Tables of 10 may be reserved for $300. For tickets or more information, visit curewithhope.org or call Charlene at 595-1931.
