Museum passes available at local library

Ah, summertime … the perfect time to visit some of the cultural resources in our region. Thanks to the generosity of the Friends of the Brookline Public Library, you can check out a pass that offers free or reduced admission to any of the following destinations:

Currier Museum of Art, Manchester NH; Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum (new), Boston Mass; Mariposa Museum, Peterborough; Museum of Fine Arts, Boston Mass.; the New Hampshire Historical Society, Concord; Seacoast Science Center, Rye; See Science Center, Manchester; and Tower Hill Botanic Gardens (new), Boylston Mass.

The new pass to Tower Hill Botanic Gardens offers free admission, so pack up the family and enjoy the lovely, winding paths, gorgeous views and historic buildings. You may want to just take in the breathtaking beauty and serenity, or join in a special program or event. Tower Hill Botanic Gardens is an easy-to-find treasure.

If you haven’t been to the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum in Boston recently, now is the time to renew your acquaintance. The Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum reopened in January this year with renovations and a stunning new wing designed by architect Renzo Piano. Meander through the greenhouses, galleries and exhibitions of art, from past masters through contemporary artists.

The multicultural Mariposa Museum, Seacoast Science Center and SEE Science Center all have fun and educational hands-on activities for children. Adults and families can spend quality time at any of the inspiring museums listed above. Brookline Public Library museum passes are one of the best deals around.

Once you’ve enjoyed the fruits of many artistic labors, show the Friends of the Brookline Public Library that you appreciate them by attending a meeting, baking for the Book & Bake Sale, volunteering your time, or donating gently used materials. Your support of the Friends will pay forward many times over, with more books, programs and services for you and your family.
