CareGivers’ Holiday Hopes program seeking volunteers

CareGiver volunteers reach out to vulnerable individuals all year long, offering transportation, food and assistance, as well as kindness and hope.

During the holiday season, the group often experiences an even greater awareness of need and a heightened desire to help.

This year, the CareGivers invite you to join them in delivering a little something extra to their clients through the Holiday Hopes program, which matches a client’s holiday gift wish with someone looking to spread some holiday cheer.

The wishes are simple: a knitted scarf, a warm throw, a book of stamps, an assortment of tea.

Contact the CareGivers to select a client wish off the Holiday Hopes tree. The group will help you choose an item to buy or make for a client and will mail you a gift tag. Return the unwrapped item(s) in a gift bag with the tag attached and they’ll deliver your present during December.

The Caregivers will distribute gifts in two groups. They need to receive the names of the participating shoppers for the first group as soon as possible. Gifts should be brought to the CareGivers office through Monday, Nov. 28, for the first group.

To participate or for more information, contact Amy Berthiaume at amy@caregiversnh.org or 622-4948, ext. 28.
