Author will be on hand for cookbook dinner

BROOKLINE – Souhegan High School teacher and cookbook author Regina Sullivan, of Merrimack, will be on hand for a cookbook dinner event at Lucia’s Tavola in Brookline on Monday, Jan. 30.

Chef/owner Mark diCicco contacted Toadstool Bookshop in Milford, seeking a cookbook from a local author to feature at this event. He selected Sullivan’s book “Who Has Nana’s Recipe?” and together they chose a variety of recipes from the book to feature on the menu.

“I am really honored that he chose my cookbook,” Sullivan said. DiCicco will prepare a six-course dinner from the southern Italian region of Puglia. He has selected wines from the Puglia region to complement the dinner.

“Who Has Nana’s Recipe?” is a family cookbook full of recipes from Sullivan’s maternal grandmother, who was born in Toritto, near the port city of Bari, Italy. Sullivan will attend the event to visit with dinner guests and talk about the recipes on the menu that evening and in her cookbook.

“It is a great feeling to be part of an event in which a local chef joins a local cookbook author and local bookseller,” Sullivan said. The complete menu can be viewed by visiting luciastavola.com. Representatives from Toadstool Bookshop will host a book signing at Lucia’s Tavola during the event. Seating is limited; call Lucia’s Tavola at 249-9134 for reservations. Lucia’s Tavola is at 181 Route 13 (Stoney Ledge Plaza) in Brookline.
