Have you taken the opportunity to enjoy Merrimack’s free Summer Concert Series? Summer concerts are free to the public and a great way to enjoy summer evenings. Concerts will be held at the Abbie Griffin Park Bandstand on Wednesdays from 7-9 p.m. in June, July and August.

Merrimack’s Parks and Recreation Department is filling the series with last year’s favorites while the staff looks for new groups to introduce a variety of fresh, new sounds to audiences.

“We would love your help in our search,” said Sherry Kalish, parks and recreation director, said. “This is your opportunity to let us know what types of music you would enjoy this summer.”

Have you heard a great band that you would like to recommend? Do you know of a local band that would love to play for a home town audience?

Call the Merrimack Parks & Recreation Department at 882-1046 with your thoughts, or e-mail parksdept@merrimacknh.gov. If you’d like to send a music sample, mail to 6 Baboosic Lake Road, Merrimack NH 03054.
