Local girl earns ‘Distinction’ in piano

Katrina Tsao, of Nashua, earned "Distinction" for her Level 4 piano examination given by the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music at Darryl’s Music Hall in Nashua in June.

Katrina also received "Distinction" for her Level 3 examination in December.

"Distinction" is the highest achievement in each level. In this program, there are eight levels of assessment. Headquartered in London, ABRSM is the largest international examination board in the world.

Katrina is a sixth-grade student at Hollis Montessori School. She is the daughter of Julia Fey and Brian Tsao.

Katrina is the piano student of Marie Mendelow, of Merrimack, at Nashua Community Music School. Mendelow is a graduate of the board’s program. She is the only qualified Royal Schools of London piano teacher in New Hampshire.
