Olive Sylvia Moses

Olive Sylvia Moses, 90, of Milford, NH passed away at home on September 24, 2010 with her family beside her.

She was born in Milford, NH on June 6, 1920, daughter of the late Byron Irving Gerry and Mary Violet (Lawrence) Gerry. Her husband, Norman Nelson Moses, predeceased her in September 1978.

Olive worked for Sanders Associates Inc., now BAE Systems, until her retirement in June 1986.

Olive enjoyed the ocean and all things nautical and all of nature and wildlife. One of her favorite activities was taking her grandchildren to the ocean at Rye Beach at Odiorne State Park.

She was predeceased by a sister, Hazel Evelyn Palmer; two brothers, Lawrence Irving Gerry and Herbert Gordon Gerry and her son, Lawrence Arthur Hadley who died in 1961.

She is survived by one sister, Norma Jean Walker of Amherst; her children, David Carroll Hadley of Los Angeles, CA, Robert Earl Tuthill and Arthur Byron Tuthill both of Milford, Richard Allen Tuthill of Jaffrey; two daughters, Brenda Jean Plunkett of McConnellsville, NY and Donna Darlene Renaud of Waite, ME; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

There are no calling hours and a private graveside service will be held at the discretion of the family, at Olive’s request for family and close friends. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Home Health and Hospice Care or to the American Cancer Society.
