Biddeford – Elizabeth A. Putnam, 80, of Biddeford, passed away on Tuesday, October 19, 2010, at Southern Maine Medical Center in Biddeford.

She was born in Milford, New Hampshire, on July 25, 1930, a daughter of Edward and Ruth Putnam Watson. She graduated from Milford High School in Milford, NH.

Earlier, Elizabeth was employed by Sprague and Carlton Furniture in Milton, NH for 10 years. She also worked for Sanders Associates in Nashua, NH. for several years.

Later, she worked for Data General in Portland for 20 years, retiring in 1990.

Mrs. Putnam was an avid reader and enjoyed traveling.

She also volunteered for York County Senior Citizens Program.

She was predeceased by her husband Waren H. Putnam.

She is survived by 2 sons – Gorden J. Fournier and his wife Doreen of NH, Edward J. Fournier of Limerick; 4 daughters – Gentian Winchester of NH, Eleanor Gauthier and her husband Gerald of NH, Virginia Martin and her husband David of NH, June Jameson and her husband David of NH; 1 stepson – David Putnam and his wife Charlene of Arundel; 2 stepdaughters – Therese Wsiaki and husband Daniel of MI, Jeanne Powers of MI; 1 sister – Barbara Jean Demis of FL; 11 grandchildren – 10 great-grandchildren – several nieces and nephews.
