Nina N. Abbott, 92, resident of Milford, NH, died November 15, 2010 at Crestwood Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center, Milford.

She was born in Francestown, NH on November 10, 1918, a daughter of the late Edmund “Ned” and Dell (Clark) Nutting.

Mrs. Abbott graduated from Peterborough High School, Peterborough, NH and earned her teaching degree from Keene Teachers College. She taught elementary school in Milford and Francestown for many years.

She was a member of Puritan Charity Themis Atlantic Chapter No. 29 OES, Souhegan Valley Chapter #1235 AARP and the Community Church of Francestown. In addition, she enjoyed traveling.

Mrs. Abbott was predeceased by two sisters, Harriet Slack and Nellie Abbott.

She was a loving mother, a devoted grandmother and great-grandmother.

Family members include two sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth N. and Pamala Abbott of Milford, NH, Michael F. and Lynn Abbott of Stratham, NH; five grandchildren, Matthew, Ben, Holly, Kyle and Brett; nine great-grandchildren; her former husband, Francis W. Abbott of Peterborough, NH; a niece and four nephews.

Visiting hours are Wednesday, November 17th from 5:00-7:00 pm in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford. An Eastern Star service will be conducted at 6:30 pm. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 10:30 am in the Community Church of Francestown, 18 Main Street, Francestown, NH. Burial will follow in Number Three Cemetery, Francestown. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to SHARE Outreach Inc., 1 Columbus Avenue, Milford, NH 03055. Arrangements are in the care of Smith & Heald Funeral Home, Milford.
