Charlotte (Cornwell) Pockl

Charlotte (Cornwell) Pockl, 88, of Milford, died February 3, 2011 at St. Joseph Hospital, Nashua following a short illness.

She was born in Greenwich, CT to Charles and Elizabeth (Greer) Cornwell. She attended local schools and graduated from Greenwich High School.

She resided in the Brookline area for over 35 years.

Charlotte owned and operated the Brookline Variety Store for over 10 years. She worked many years as a director of food service for education and institutional services.

She was Girl Scout leader for over 25 years and also belonged to Rotary International Paul Harris Fellow.

She loved spending time with her family and was an avid bridge player.

She was predeceased by her husband, William J. Pockl in 1974.

Members of her family include two daughters, Virginia Holland of Nashua and Nancy Havey of Manchester; one son, William Pockl of Merrimack, NH; seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services: Funeral Services will take place on Saturday February 12, 2011 at 11am in the Stone Brookline Chapel, Main Street Route 130, Brookline, NH.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in her name to the Girl Scouts of the USA Fund Development, P.O. Box 19611A, Newark, NJ 07195.
