Virginia (Ordway) Claire Gangloff, 93, resident of Milford, NH, died February 7, 2011 at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center, Burlington, MA.

She was born in Concord, NH on August 17, 1917, a daughter of Norman and Ava (Lewis) Ordway.

Mrs. Gangloff resided in Milford for over 30 years and formerly made her home in Wilton, NH for many years.

She was a homemaker and devoted her life to raising and caring for her family.

Mrs. Gangloff was a member of the First Congregational Church of Milford, UCC and the Women’s League. In addition, she was a member of the Milford Women’s Club.

An avid sports fan, she enjoyed watching the Boston Red Sox, Celtics and following the local Wilton/Lyndeborough High School sports teams, which her son coaches.

She was predeceased by her first husband, Roy E. Claire and her second husband, Dana Gangloff; a grandson, Kevin B. Claire and a great-grandson, Will Claire; three sisters, Helen Duffy, Norma Blanchard and Joyce Hale.

Family members include two sons and daughters-in-law, Douglas and Joyce Claire of Bow, NH, Dennis and NancyLee Claire of Wilton, NH; a daughter, Cathy Pratt of Nashua, NH; a stepson, Ross Gangloff and his wife, Sandra of Milford, NH; 7 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours are Thursday, February 10th from 4:00-7:00 pm in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford.

Funeral services will be held on Friday at 10:30 am in The First Congregational Church of Milford, UCC, 10 Union Street, Milford. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Wilton, in the spring.
