Agnes O. Homoleski

Agnes Ouellette Homoleski, born January 25, 1925, died peacefully on April 4, 2011.

Midge lived most of her life in Brookline, NH. She graduated from Milford High School Class of 1943 and attended the Catherine Gibbs School in Boston, MA.

She married Stephen F. Homoleski on June 30, 1946. They had one son, Stephen W. Homoleski, who lives in South Berwick, ME with his wife, Eileen.

During the 1960s, Midge was Brookline’s tax collector, a substitute school teacher and wrote a column for The Brookliner Newspaper. In the 1970s, she worked as a bookkeeper for Greenville Construction Company in Milford and served as President of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Brookline American Legion.

Midge loved to swim during the summer at Lake Potanipo and throughout the year at Hampshire Hills. She was a long-time member of the Brookline Community Church and served as an officer in the Church’s Ladies Aid Society. Midge and Stephen lived in the little house next to the church for 54 years. They moved to Crestwood Nursing Home in Milford in May 2008.

In addition to her husband and son, Midge is survived by her sister, Mary Bly of Los Angeles, CA; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

There are no visiting hours. A graveside service will be held Thursday, April 7th at 2:00 p.m. in Pine Grove Cemetery, Pepperell Road, Brookline, NH. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Brookline Community Church, P.O. Box 507, Brookline, NH 03033.
