Richard D. Brown Sr., 67, resident of Amherst, NH, died June 4, 2011 at his home.

He was born in Newport, NH on April 13, 1944. Richard was raised and educated in Wilton, NH, graduating from Wilton High School, Class of 1962.

Mr. Brown had worked as a regional sales manager for a German based capital equipment company for many years. Following his retirement, he was employed as a school bus driver in Amherst. In addition, he enjoyed spending time golfing.

Mr. Brown was a U.S. Army Vietnam Era veteran.

Family members include a daughter, Lisa A. Dennehy of Salisbury, NH; a son, Richard “Rick” D. Brown Jr. of Littleton, NH; 12 grandchildren; his longtime loving companion, Denise Hippert of Amherst, NH; two sisters, Shirley Carpentiere of Lyndeborough, NH and Brenda Eveleth of Rochester, NH; two brothers, Douglas Brown of Merrimack, NH and Thomas Brown of Auburn, NH; many nieces and nephews.

A visiting hour will be held on Thursday, June 9th from 10:00-11:00 am in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 am. Burial with military honors will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery, Wilton, NH.
