James Philip Crawley

Amherst: James Philip Crawley, age 74, of Ponemah Hill Road, passed away peacefully with his family and friend by his side.

James was born on Oct. 30, 1936 in Nashua, NH, the son of Francis and Dorothy (King) Crawley. He was born and raised in the Nashua area, attending the Nashua school system.

James was a resident of Amherst for 43 years. He owned and operated a foundry, Colonial Castings, Co. One of his passions was antique car restoration and enjoying his hunting and fishing.

He competed in motorcycle off road racing and was a small aircraft pilot. James also held a patent on a canoe motor mount bracket.

James is survived by his loving wife, Jean Crawley of Amherst; his mother, Dorothy Crawley of Farmington; his children, Cynthia Crawley of Wakefield, Christina Claus of Farmington and James Crawley of Amherst; his grandchildren, Jason Wilson of Farmington and Leah Crawley of Amherst.

He was predeceased by his father, Francis Crawley and his brother, Francis A. Crawley.
