Leland A. Hereford, 64, resident of Milford, died August 6, 2011 at his home.

He was born in Nashua, NH on January 27, 1947, a son of Mabel C. (Parkhurst) Hereford. Leland was raised and educated in Milford and graduated from Milford High School.

He had been employed as an oil burner technician for Ciardelli Fuel Company and Dead River Oil Company.

Leland was a U.S. Air Force veteran having served during the Vietnam War and was honorably discharged with the rank of Staff Sergeant. He was a member of the Ricciardi Hartshorn Post #23 American Legion, Harley Sanford Post #4368 VFW and Disabled American Veterans.

Family members include a cousin, Thomas & Roseann Bailey of Hudson, NH, and their son, Chadd Bailey and his wife, Catherine of Brighton, MA.
