Donald Eugene McCauslin

Donald Eugene McCauslin, age 65, of Weare, NH died on Friday, Feb. 17, 2012 at his home.

He was born September 1, 1946 in Hanover, PA. He is the son of Christine (Wolf) Kemper and the late Harold E. McCauslin. He graduated from Bermudian Springs High School in York Springs, PA.

Donald moved to New Hampshire in the late 1980’s and established the largest hog farm in the state, McCauslin Swine Farm. He would travel to show his livestock in competitions throughout the east and into the Midwest.

An avid outdoorsman and hunter, he enjoyed traveling around the United States, Canada and South Africa to pursue his interests. He guided hunters to deer in Ohio and turkey in South Texas. He traveled several times to Alaska to fish salmon on the Kenai Peninsula.

Besides his mother, he is survived by his wife and companion of 15 years, Kristen E. Smith, a son: Darren E. McCauslin and his wife, Christine of Myersville, Maryland, two daughters: Donna J. Schuchart and her husband, Douglas of Hanover, PA, Sarah E. G. Savage of Milford, NH; 6 grandchildren: Megan E. Schuchart of PA, Austin T. Schuchart of PA, Lindsay P. McCauslin of PA, Sydney A. McCauslin of MD, Issac S. McCauslin of MD, Grayson M. Scott of Milford, NH. He is also survived by 2 sisters: Mary ‘Cook’ Coulson and Vonnie Haines both of PA.

Donald is predeceased by his son Douglas E. McCauslin.
