Raymond T. Saben

Raymond T. Saben died at the age of 83 on March 14th at his Milford home surrounded by family. Ray was born in Shrewsbury MA, to the late Ernest A. and Florence E. (Day) Saben. He spent his last 30 years living in Milford.

Ray retired from Colt Industries, Hartford, Conn., as a machinist. Moved to Milford in the ’80s and worked at Hy-Ten for a period of time. Ray served in the Korean War Conflict and was a post member of the American Legion Riccardi Hartshorn 23. He enjoyed deep sea fishing and was an avid Red Sox and NE Patriots fan. Every morning he did the Jumble that was in The Telegraph at the kitchen table and most afternoons he would visit his friends at the Legion and try his luck with the tickets.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Richard & Maureen Saben; sisters, Lorraine Harlow of West Springfield, Jean Couture of Worcester and extended family members.

Family & friends are invited to the American Legion Post 23, 15 Cottage St., Milford, NH, 03055 on April 28th from 1-5:00 to celebrate Ray’s life. Burial will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to NH Veterans Home 139 Winter St., Tilton, NH 03276.
