Edna M. Hug

Edna M. Hug, 91, resident of Milford, NH, died on February 25, 2018 at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Nashua, NH surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Brooklyn, NY on June 3, 1926, the daughter of Richard and Barbara (Royle) Dillon.

Mrs. Hug made her home in Milford for 40 years and formerly lived in Farmingdale, NY. She had been employed as a secretary for Charles Pfizer Company in New York for several years. Later, she stayed at home to raise her family and was actively involved as a scout leader for the Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts. She was an avid reader, enjoyed working on crossword puzzles, volunteering for the Share Program and traveling throughout the United States and Europe.

Mrs. Hug was a communicant of St. Patrick’s Church, Milford, and had served as a Eucharistic minister.

Family members include her husband 69 years, Ronald D. Hug of Milford, NH; a daughter and son-in-law, Diane and Jim Schlegel of Hooksett, NH; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Robert and Patty Hug, and Ronald R Hug, all of Milford; seven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

Calling hours are on THURSDAY, March 1st from 2-4 & 6-8pm in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford, NH. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on SATURDAY, March 3rd at 10:00am in St. Patrick’s Church, 34 Amherst Street, Milford. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Milford.
