Milford, NH – Barbara A. Mayerle, 88, resident of Milford, NH, died on August 12, 2018 at her home.

She was born on October 30, 1929 in Mineola, NY, the daughter of Eric and Grace (Ellard) Strohmayer. She was raised and educated in New York.

Barbara made her home in Milford for the past 42 years and was a member of the Church of Our Saviour where she had served on the Altar Guild for many years.

She was a member of the Puritan-Charity-Themis-Atlantic Chapter #29, Order of Eastern Star. She enjoyed knitting, playing cards, checkers, Pinnocle, Mahjong and working on crossword puzzles. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her family.

Barbara was predeceased by her husband, Samuel Mayerle, Jr.; a daughter, Donna Robinson and son-in-law, Samuel Robinson.

Family members include three daughters and sons-in-law, Debra and Robert Burgman of Las Vegas, NV, Darlene Catharine and Daniel Catharine Sr. of Milford, NH, Dawn and Michael Cross of Lancaster, NH; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Florence Strohmayer of VA; a niece and two nephews.

Visiting hours are on Thursday, August 16th from 6:00-8:00pm in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 10:00am in the funeral home.
