Gary L. Francis, Sr., 70, resident of Milford, NH died on September 28, 2018 at Catholic Medical Center, Manchester, NH.

He was born in Burlington, VT on December 2, 1947, a son of Lila (Shepard) Francis of Burlington, VT and the late Albert C. Francis, where he was raised and educated. Gary made his home in Milford for the past 22 years.

He had been self-employed as a contractor for many years as well as a talented performing musician. In addition, he enjoyed golfing, camping, fishing, NASCAR, motorcycles, and electronics. His greatest joy came from spending time with his family and friends.

In addition to his mother, family members include his wife of 24 years, Lori A. (Bourgeois) Francis of Milford; three children, Gary L. Francis, Jr. of St. Albans, VT, Albert C. Francis of Milford, NH and Angela Francis-Hebert of VT; two grandchildren, Jordan and Jasmin; a great granddaughter, Olivia; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Claudia and Hank Schneveis of WI, Sharon and Michael Charbonneau of CT, and Lou-Ann Francis of South Burlington, VT; a brother, Lauren Francis of FL; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Ginger and Jerry Basner of NH; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Calling hours are on Tuesday, October 2nd from 6:00-8:00 pm in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 9:30am in St. Patrick’s Church, 34 Amherst Street, Milford. Donations in his memory may be made to The American Heart Association.
